Porting SCIM to Nokia 770

Ideas got from Maemo CJK Support: Replace VKB with Matchbox-keyboard and Integrate SCIM with matchbox-keyboard using X ClientMessage.

After two nights debugging, it can basiclly worked in Maemo SDK. Here is the screencast, I uploaded it to youtube.

Next to do:

  • Make deb packages for Nokia 770
  • Embed the scim panel in the keyboard window
  • …

    不知道你将matchbox-keyboard装到N770上没?我想问你几个问题

    我把matchbox-keyboard打成deb包,装到N770上.发现有很多问题.
    1.它只能在X Terminal里面启动,图标启动不了.
    2.启动后出现的VKB将以前的VKB挡住,虽然能输入,但是不能做到自动调整窗口的显示区域,X Terminal的滚动条拉动到matchboxVKB的区域就不能继续下拉了.
    3.如何能在Notes和浏览器或者其他需要输入的程序自动调用matchboxVKB?

    因为编程能力有限,没看懂源码,不知解决上面三个问题从何入手?

    光有VKB是不够的，需要配合GTK输入模块才可以。

    to Keyser Soze:
    目前手上没有N800，没法继续了 :)

    btw，770上的安装包已经做好了。
